![]() I have, however, seen osu! looked down on a lot explicitly for the other reasons I stated. I've literally never seen an osu! user say anything bad about other rhythm games. Then again, the ranking system is miles better than any other VSRG game or rhythm game in general, so that's funny). I've never seen osu! looked down on for those reasons (except for the ranking system. They call their (regularly leaked) arcade data a community project when it's actually less than ten people doing the work. They're elitist towards everyone including their own community. The only elitist community is Bemanisows, a private tracker for games from the Bemani series. I honestly love how much effort goes into osu!, I really really do, I appreciate the passion of everyone that contributes, but the problems the community (not the developers) cause is just too much. osu! is regularly hit with DMCAs, they have a major cheating problem, code has been leaked left and right, private skins and other files are being stolen, and the recent explosion of the game has caused the community to deteriorate. It's not elitism, and while I don't condone communities making servers private it's done so because of unfamiliar faces causing horrible problems. Sound Voltex (Arcade data, I am prohibited from distribution but there is a very good PC clone named K-SHOOT MANIA) Lunatic Rave 2 / Beatmania IIDX (LR2 site dead, hard to collect. O2Jam (Private Korean servers, I can not invite you but there are public servers. For osu! content please visit /r/osugame or the official osu! website. It is also very disliked overall in the rhythm game community. I'm not putting osu! here, everybody and their grandma knows what osu! is.
